I never wear makeup without a primer underneath. Most people know that primers keep your makeup lasting longer and it gives the makeup something to stick to. Believe me, the last thing any gal wants is for their face to look like everything shifted within a couple of hours. Let’s face it ladies - “shift” happens as we begin to age, but I’m all for keeping things in place as long as I can!
This week, we were given free range to review and test any Korean product in the boutique, so I opted for a line of primers that don’t seem to fly off our shelves like our Holika Holika Naked Face Primer, which sold out the week after our online beauty launch. Thank goodness we’ve placed a restock order that should arrive within a few weeks. So back to the Fix and Fix Primers by Etude House.
They have two purposes: the first purpose is to keep your makeup lasting longer (for longer summer daylight hours, whoo hoo!) and the second is to help correct certain skin issues. Regardless if you are a tween going through puberty, a stressed out college student, or a more seasoned lady...we all have something going on with our skin. These Fix and Fix Primers help anyone who wants to give them a chance:
The mint color will help counteract redness and evens skin tone. I find the mint works best under a foundation or magic cushion. The mint works well to counteract any redness, but will make your skin look like the walking dead (in a good way). By adding a light color or tinted powder - your skin will reduce red scars, pimples, or redness on your cheeks, nose, chin, and forehead.
The rose color brightens and revitalizes dull skin. As for the rose color primer, I find these work best for fairer skin without many blemishes or needs for cover up. The rose coloring is very light and when dabbed on the face - it really does seem to brighten and give your skin a dewy look.
The base primer helps to minimize pores and uneven textures. I’ve used the base primer under everything - even color correctors. Maybe it’s overkill but I have larger pores and base primers seem to literally “fill” my needs.
These primers work well to minimize problems and really do make your makeup last longer. Another bonus to the Fix and Fix Primers is how long they last. It’s because a small amount of product works for the entire face. I have found that the best way to apply the mint primer is to blend it in by patting into the skin instead of rubbing it in. Rubbing the product sheers out the primer and patting offers fuller coverage to mask redness. These primers are the perfect addition to any makeup routine and will make your makeup go on more evenly and it will last longer...and who doesn’t want their makeup to last longer!
